Rory Ingham Trio

A dynamic trombone-led trio featuring organ, playing a mixture of swinging jazz standards and adventurous original melodies by all members of this multi-talented band

As well as being a jazz trombonist, Rory is an educator and composer. He has won many awards including: ‘Rising Star’ in the 2017 British Jazz Awards, Trombonist of The Year 2016 runner-up, British Trombone Society Awards 2018 winner.  Rory was part of the Whirlwind Recordings Jazz Orchestra at the Bonington Theatre in November 2019.

What they say about Rory:

““what a sound that guy has got - fantastic!” — Evan Parker (Saxophone)

“Be sure to check him out!”— Dennis Rollins, Jazz trombonist and band leader

Rory is an exceptional talent - along with his trio partners who have played with major artists such as Claire Martin, Alan Barnes, Beverley Knight and the Guy Barker Jazz Orchestra.

It’s the last gig of this season of Jazz Steps Live At The Libraries.  Book now for a great night out – bar refreshments available - at this library venue or one of the others in this mini-tour.

NB: Former Covid restrictions meant thiis gig had to be postponed until now. Back then, we asked Rory to record from home a short duo ‘lockdown performance’ for Inspire and Jazz Steps, which you can watch here.
