“Memorable melodies, adeptly interwoven influences… unhurriedly stylish…” - praise for the this quartet led by saxophonist and Dankworth Prize-winning composer Matt Anderson. His lyrical, original tunes are influenced by his rural Yorkshire roots, Scandinavian jazz and the blues/country strains of American guitarest Bill Frisell. Anderson’s warm tenor sax fronts this stylish quartet with music from their critically-acclaimed CD ‘Rambling’ and recent recordings.

“The writing on Rambling is outstanding: varied and imaginative... There's a beautiful warmth to Anderson's sound that suffuses the whole album.” Jazzwise Magazine
“Memorable melodies, adeptly interwoven influences… unhurriedly stylish... (Anderson) can deliver an ear-catching tenor sax flourish, but knows the value of understatement and uses it well. This is solidly-crafted small group jazz that knows its history, but wears its learning lightly.” London Jazz News
