Geoff Eales has had a long and varied career, including a long stint with the BBC Big Band and working as a top studio musician for over 15 years alongside a host of musical luminaries such as Leonard Bernstein, Henry Mancini, Jerry Goldsmith and Lalo Schifrin. His Jazz work includes solo, trio and quartet projects, but for his first visit to the Bonington he brings his fusion quintet Isorhythm, replete with propulsive rhythms, sudden metrical shifts, post-Hendrix guitar wailings, edgy sax lines, infectious bass riffs and take-no-prisoners power house drumming. “The music, all Eales’ own, is replete with drama and powerful contrasts†– Rob Adams, Jazz UK Members of Isorhythm are: Geoff Eales (keyboards), Ben Waghorn (saxophone), Carl Orr (guitar), Fred Thelonius Baker (bass) and Martin France (drums)
