Memphis-born singer/songwriter/keyboardist Charlie Wood (recently honoured by his home town with a Brass Note on Beale Street's Walk of Fame) first hit the scene in the 90s, touring the US and Europe as keyboardist for blues legend Albert King. Since then, he has performed with a host of stars across the music spectrum including B.B.King, Brodsky Quartet, Cleo Laine, Guy Barker, Paloma Faith, Robert Plant and, of course, his wife, Jacqui Dankworth, who co-produced the new album, New Souvenirs. “…the growl and moan of Eric Burdon, the otherworldly lilt of Donald Fagen, and the scorched majesty of Kurt Elling.†- Jazz Times
