“Gillespie expresses outrage at our fracturing world while simultaneously summoning compassion for the individuals struggling to stay afloat in it. We need to go back to the 1960s and 70s – the golden age of the singer-songwriter – to find artists of comparable potency and conviction scaling similar heights. Without a doubt my album of the year.” Source: https://theartsdesk.com/new-music/cd-sarah-gillespie-wishbones T

“Is she the new Joni Mitchell? PJ Harvey? Bob Dylan even?...Gillespie’s spiky lyrical gift is utterly distinctive.”Metro

NB: changes to lineup from printed programme: Dave Hamblett on drums (was James Maddron) and Tom Cawley on piano (was Kit Downes)
