Enzo Carpentieri

One of Italy's leading drummers and one of several superb Italian jazz musicians who are well known across Europe and New York but not in the UK. Enzo was born, and is still based in Padova, he came to national prominence in Italy in the 1980s playing with the virtuoso alto saxophonist Massimo Urbani and many others. Since then he has played around the world with the cream of Italian jazz as well as many European and American stars like Kenny Wheeler, The European Music Orchestra, Sal Nistico, Art Farmer, Tony Scott, Steve Grossman Harold Danko, Cameron Brown and Miroslav Vitous. His albums have won several Italian Awards and have included 'Look to the Nutrino' with John Tchicai and 'Everywhere is Here' with his quintet Circular E-Motion featuring American trumpeter Rob Mazurek.
