â€œJoey Palmaâ€ a tuba playing made man who had his throat slit by a piccolo playing hit man from NYC. Joe Palmer was born and brought up in Birmingham and took up the Tuba from a young age. He soon progressed through many youth, amateur and semi-professional organisations within the city and beyond, including symphony orchestras, wind orchestras and brass bands, highlights including being a member of the National Youth Wind Orchestra, and appearing as a soloist with the Birmingham Schools Brass Ensemble, the Birmingham Schools Brass Band and Sutton Coldfield Orchestra, in venues including the Symphony Hall Birmingham. After studying at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, on the BMus Performance Course with professors Oren Marshall and George Wall. He is currently studying post-grad at the Royal College of Music. On top of college commitments, he also freelances for various musical organisations around the London area, and is an active chamber musician for Live Music Now with Westcombe Brass. Westcombe Brass were also finalists in the Royal overseas league competition 2015. Joe has played as an extra for the RPO and, been Principal Tuba of the World Youth Orchestras tour of Italy (2012) and ULSO (2014). He has also made television appearances for Gold and Big Brother.
