Due to unforeseen circumstances the workshops below will be held, until further notice, at a private venue close to the city centre.

INSTRUMENTAL JAZZ IMPROVISATION WORKSHOP

Will take place from 7pm to 9pm on Wednesday 11th January at the temporary venue (see note above), pending new venue announcement.

Fee £5.00 per person for each workshop (£3.00 concessions)
All are welcome who have a basic command of their instrument and an interest in learning to play jazz with others. We will be working principally from Volume 65 Jamey Aebersold Play Along book. We will take at least one tune from the book per month therefore we recommend that those wishing to attend regularly can purchase this particular volume. We will work on two tunes each workshop and these will be itemised and lead sheets attached in advance to allow for practise. The two tunes selected for January are:-

Rob will accompany everyone on bass guitar or guitar.

All singers who wish to sing jazz with rhythm accompaniment along with other singers are welcome. Reminders and lyrics will be sent for each workshop to participants.
A new programme of songs for 2011/2012 will be developed from November 2011.
Lynda Hallam and Carol Wood will organise and lead these workshops.
