Acoustic sextet influenced by Wayne Shorter, Mingus, Latin and South African jazz

'We Free Kings' is an acoustic jazz ensemble playing music written and arranged by Leeds' saxophonist Toby Greenwood. The material is built around strong, evocative melodic themes and while the writing is stylistically influenced by major American jazz composers such as Wayne Shorter and Charles Mingus there are also tangible influences from Latin American and particularly South African jazz.
