With echoes of Brad Mehldau's Art of the Trio series, Law has recently released the highly acclaimed album The Art of Sound. The trio concentrate not so much on virtuosic solos, but totally unified composition, achieving balance, poise and a sense of beauty. Law's compositions offer great variety, from very simple grooves to more abstract textures and expressive ballads.
