Asaf's band, the Inner Noise, was formed in 2000, with fellow jazz musicians, keyboard-player Steve Lodder, and guitarist, Mike Outram. Steve also plays the bass notes on his keyboards. The music is very much a jazz-classical-rock music fusion. "We're very much influenced by a lot of classical organ works and by some of the big progressive rock bands of the 1970s, such as Yes and Emerson, Lake and Palmer," Asaf explains. Asaf's Middle Eastern background also influences the music. He composes all the Inner Noise music himself, as well as playing drums.
