NOTTINGHAM NATIONAL JAZZ PIANO COMPETITION 2008

The UK's first major Jazz Piano competition will be held in the East Midlands with the final at Nottingham's Albert Hall on July 27th 2008.
The competition is open to all pianists under the age of 30.
From the entrants, 16 semi finalists will perform to a distinguished panel of judges who will then select four to appear in the final

Aims of the competition:
- To act as a showcase for all the performers
- To help to progress the careers of young talented pianists
- To promote and build awareness of the genre of Jazz music
- To promote the musical culture of the East Midlands
