New home for Beeston JazzClub from April 3rd!

Great news for supporters of Beeston JazzClub......we've changed venues ..the new home for JazzClub is ‘The Star’ 22. Middle Street,Beeston, NG9 1FX

Landlord, Damian and Manager, Paul (‘Gilly’), who recently took ‘The Horse and Jockey’ (Stapleford) through to the final four of ‘Camra’s’ National Pub of the Year Competition, have promised us a very warm welcome and of course an ever changing selection of superb Real Ales!

The ‘new’ residency for Beeston JazzClub starts with the gig on Thursday 3rd April with our special guest......Joel Purnell (tenor).....

“...an attacking, melodically twisting approach to the tenor, showing how Joel has absorbed the legacy of Michael Brecker....immaculate taste....’ ’The Guardian’.

Plus Beeston ‘JazzClub’ favourites and one of the finest jazz rhythm teams in the Midlands! ‘BoHoP’. ‘...Outrageously ebullient!!..’ ..’Stratford Jazz Festival’... Neil Hunter keys. Geoff Pearson bass. Ian Beestin drums.

As some of you will be aware, there have been a couple of changes to the library gig line ups with the Andrew Wood Trio replacing the Red Hot Band, who are named in the brochure. This caused further confusion about dates. Whilst the Nicola Farnon Trio and John Harvey remain as per the printed brochure. The dates for The Andrew Wood Trio and Me and Mr Jones are as Follows:

Me and Mr Jones

Tuesday 8th April - Worksop Library
Wednesday 9th April - Southwell Library
Thursday 10th April - West Bridgford Library

Andrew Wood Trio

Wednesday 30th April - Southwell Library
